Tale of one collector (part 2).
It's been more than nine months since I started talking about Oldhammer (what I feel Oldhammer it's for me, this goes one way or another depending on your age). It's time for a recap.

It's been more than nine months since I started talking about Oldhammer (what I feel Oldhammer it's for me, this goes one way or another depending on your age).
I can't forget that post because it was 29th of October 2024, what later became the worst day in the recent history of Horta Sud, the place where I live, after a catastrophic flood killed (thanks to the inaction of our public servants), more than 200 people (including one person from my own family).
Up to that date, I had a really good month (professionally and personally), and took some days for me after the last lecturing gig so I could focus on building my teenage years' army. So collecting, painting or talking about this has now a bittersweet taste for me. I used this as a distraction of all that was happening that day and the next months, and it helped, but more than half a year later it's like it tainted the joy of the hobby somehow.
But painting those old models has been fantastic. It's like finishing each model meant something (that's not a thing I've ever felt with plastic models).
The list I made has grown and I've painted quite a lot (If you factor in the scorching heat we've had for 2 months), and I even made a little list for my first TOW game:
- 12 Plaguebearers of Nurgle.
- 1 Great Unclean One.
- 3 Flamers of Tzeentch.
- 1 Exalted Sorcerer of Tzeentch.
- 3 Dragon Ogres.
It's not a legal list but who cares? It's not our fault that GW decided to split Demons, Beasts and Chaos Mortals in 3 different armies...
This guy will be the general (I'll post the lore behind a Tzeentch Sorcerer leading so many Nurgle demons, I promise).

Now I'm about to finish Plaguebearers number 7 and 8. Dragon Ogres are built in subassemblies and primed. The Great Unclean One already has the base colour and the first ink on it. Meanwhile I'm waiting for a colder & drier weather so I can use the spray primer on the Flamers and the remaining 4 Plaguebearers (from the Marauder range, BTW).

I'll update this post with a family photo of the Plaguebearers as soon as I finish them all.
EDIT: As promised:
